If you think you like dogs, go to Costa Rica and I promise you will change your mind. Because that is exactly what happened to me. All they do is follow us everywhere, and lay around and poop in the street. (for me to step in). When we walk into a neighborhood, one dog will start barking, and then all 30 of them start barking, and it sounds like World War 3 just broke out. Then, the whole neighborhood knows that we are around haha.
This week we have continued to teach Marcelo (former atheist). It has been really cool to watch him take baby steps to grow his testimony. Just a few months ago he was involved in a lot of drugs and stuff but then he decided he wanted to change. I'm really excited to see what happens with time.
We are also teaching a 17 year old girl named Katia. She has a testimony of the gospel, and we've taught her everything, but she is just scared of making the committment of baptism. We are trying to help her overcome her fears, and hopefully this week or next she will make the decision to be baptized!
We invited about 20 people to come to church this sunday. They all said "yeah sure maybe, god is good, pura vida!" wanna know how many actually showed up? 0. haha. that is probably our biggest difficulty, everyone wants to hear our message, and they think its nice, but no one wants to take action and come to church. buttt its okay, I just gotta be patient and realize that I am just living in a different culture haha.
