Excerpt from Camri's email to parents:
yes we are close to san jose, it is like 2 hours from the mission office. my area is up in the mountains so it is pretty jungley, its awesome! yes we share a phone, and we email at a internet cafe. upe is "disculpe" like "excuse me" ive been in some houses that are literally dirt floor, and some that are more developed, there is a lot of variety, it is fun! last pday we cleaned, went shopping at a place called "price smart" which is literally costco. it was awesome. we got a whole month worth of groceries. they have a lot of american brands. they are all over costa rica so i would highly recommend for your vacation! you might need a membership tho, idk. this pday we traveled to the mission office to fix our phone, and we just got back. we are allowed to email for 2 hours but my companion only does it for like 45 min so it goes by really fast. she promised that next week we can spend 2 hours haha, i will try to send pics this week.so yeah, we have not done anything too exciting for pday, but it is nice to just relax. and theres not a lot of "adventury" stuff to do. just me and me comp live in an apartment. it is not horrible, basically like a crappy version of byu housing, but we have all the necesities like hot water and everything so its good! there are a lot of cockroaches. we have ladies that make us lunch and it is amazing. i have loved all of the food here. idk how many sisters there are, I would say the mission is like 65% or 70% latinos haha. there are 122 missionaries. my area is so pretty and the weather is perfect! hermana zapata is awesome! she is 25 even though she looks 16 lol. but she works really hard! we have some investigators progressing and hopefully a baptism on saturday! it rains most days but its been pretty light. probably because the raining season is ending. i love all my clothes and shoes. we have a washing machine but its pretty ghetto and we hang dry everything. love you lots!!!
