goodbye Poas....hello Escazu

After 4 transfers (6 months) I am finally leaving my first area! I loved Poas and the branch there sosososo much! Butttttt I'm ready to finally leave jaja. My new area is Escazu! It's about 30min away from downtown San Jose. It's pretty very from my last area because it is more of city. Poas was up in the mountains and it was soooo pretty. But here in Escazu we have a lot more resources. for example.....WALMART. I'm so hyped about that jaja. It's also the area of the mission office! In Poas I was used to going to church in a tiny little building, but here it's a big ward. It was the first ward that got established here in Costa Rica. and it's also where President Valim and his family goes to church! talk about pressure..

My new comp..... is a gringa! again! jaja my spanish is getting worse with all these gringa companions that I have. But her name is Hermana Melchior from Colorado and we have already gotten along really well in these past 3 hours wahoo. Our house has an oven and a washer and dryer so I'm basically living in luxury over here in Costa Rica.

My mom says I should share spiritual thoughts jaja, she's right. But something that I've learned a lot this week is the importance of love and charity. Something big that I've learned in my short 7 months in the mission is that if there isn't love, we can't accomplish anything. We can be super faithful, diligente, obediente (I forgot how to spell those words in english lol) but we if don't have love of Christ, our faith goes no where!

also this week in Costa Rica is Semana Santa, everyone has work and school off and basically the catholics just go wild with the parades and worshiping Mary in the streets and stuff so pray for the mission work here this week jajaja.

Love,
Hermana Hill
