The agency of others can't change our faith
On friday a BYU/UVU dance group came and did a culture dance performance thing and it was fun! We got to go to a super pretty amphitheater thing that looked just like Tuacahn.
This week was a little discouraging because we have a baptism planned for Mauricio this Sunday but he hasn't talked to us all week and we have no idea what is happening :(
On Sunday Morning we went to go pick up all our investigadores for church and literally none of them were home nor awake. We arrived to church a little late, sweating, tired, and without investigadores. Someone told us, "Well Hermanas, you can have as much faith in the world, but sometimes you have to accept that your faith will never change someone else's agency." I thought to myself, "Huh well that's kinda depressing but I guess it's true."
All day I kept thinking about what they said. BUT I realized that we can also look at it the other way around. Yes it's true that we can't change the agency of others. BUTTTTT. The agency of others, CAN'T change OUR faith. Just because the decisions of others aren't in line with The Gospel of Jesus Christ, doesn't mean WE should lose OUR faith.
