HALF WAY
ahhhh time is FLYING. In two days I will complete 9 months in the mission. Where did the time go? I feel like I have so much more to do and so much more to learn in such little time.
I am convinced I have the best mission president in the whole world. We had a training and he told us that we can fix any sort of challenge that an investigator has just by praying. They don't wanna give up coffee? kneel down with them and have them pray and ask god if they should leave coffee. They didn't read the bom because they were busy? kneel down with them and have them pray and ask god if they should read the bom this week. They can't go to church cuz they work? kneel down with them and have them pray and ask god if they should go to church instead of work. He said we should be spending more time with our investigators KNEELING and PRAYING than just talking. WOW.
So we've been trying to do that this week, and holy cow getting investigators to pray is a lot harder than you think. We usually have to kneel for a good 20 minutes before they pray. We kneeled with an investigator for 20 minutes and after 20 minutes she literally got up and left jaja so we had no choice but to leave too. Other missionaries have told us stories of kneeling with investigators for AN HOUR AND A HALF before they will pray.
It's amazing to see that for various reasons people don't pray. Some are scared to talk to god, some don't know how, some are embarrassed, some are used to memorized prayers in their church. I feel so blessed to know that I can pray and know that god can speak to us PERSONALLY. A simple knowledge to me is brand new to so many people.
also we have our own mission hymn and today for pday the mission got to together and we filmed a music video¡¡ how awesome is that?? I'm real pumped to see how it turns out jaja it was so fun
well I'm out of time. I'm lovin the mission here
love,
Hermana Hill
