Big Goals!!
This week we had Zone Conference and it was so good as always!! As a mission we have a goal to reach 100 baptisms in the month of September! ah! We are all so motivated, but its definitely not going to be easy! Usually the mission gets like 50 or 60 baptisms per month. In order to reach 100 it means that every companionship has to get 2 baptisms in September. Wow, the pressure is on! Definitely accepting prayers that as a mission we can complete our goals :)
This week we had some awesome spiritual lessons with members. We have an investigador that is so willing to listen and go to church and follow God but it's so hard sometimes because he literally doesn't understand about any of the teachings. We've explained The Restoration about 5 times and he still doesn't understand it. Buttt we had a lesson with a member, and now the member is going to visit the investigador (without us) and reading in The Book of Mormon with him and it's helping a ton! Both of them are having a spiritual experience :). If you are looking to have a super awesome spiritual experience I invite you to go participate in a lesson with the missionaries, or read in The Book of Mormon with one of their investigadores :) We are super happy because we have some investigadores with a lot of potencial and members who are willing to help!
Sometimes I think the mission is hard when people are too busy to listen to us, no one comes to church, and I come home exhausted and my legs are swollen from walking too much, and I'm hungry, and I don't have any bit of energy to even do the area book. BUT then I read all the stories of missionaries in the Book of Mormon and I realize that my life is like a million times easier and I need to be more grateful. People like Abinadi, Alma, Aaron, Nefi.... etc. They all left EVERYTHING. Their families of like 8 kids to go preach the gospel in PUEBLOS SALVAJES (idk how to say that in English.) But basically they were all super wicked NO ONE would listen to them and not only that, THE PEOPLE TRIED TO KILL THEM. wow. The worst thing that happens here in Costa Rica is the people saying "No thank you, I'm Catholic. God Bless you."
Estoy muy muy muy agradecida por la oportunidad que tengo de ser una misionera!!! Es una experiencia muy muy especial. Amo a mi salvador. Agradezco a mi Padre celestial cada día por la gente que conozco aquí en Costa Rica, y por las oportunidades de aprendizaje que yo he tenido en la misión :) YO SE QUE VIVE MI SEŇOR
les queiro mucho!!
con amor,
Hermana Hill
