Kenny's shining weekend, and sleeping with rats :)

Ok so our house is super old and gross and when I first showed up to the area it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. It's all covered in mold and I literally didn't want to touch anything. But then I cleaned it for about 2 hours and I felt a little bit better about living in it until Saturday... when I was eating dinner at 10pm and a freaking RATTTTT crawled on to the table. I was freaking out but my comp was like yeah there's a rat problem here, a few weeks ago we killed like 3 jajajaj. whattt. We couldn't leave to go buy a rat trap because it was so late, so we had to sleep the night knowing that we were living with a live rat.... how lovely :) and then the next day was Sunday and we obviously couldn't buy one on Sunday, so we have been living with an unfound rat in the house for about 3 days!! In a few hours we are going to go buy something to kill it  jajaj wish us luck, and be looking forward to dead rat pics next week :)

We've been trying to work with the members more, and we planned perfect appointments with investigadores and members. 2 times this week we showed up to the appointments with members and the investigators weren't there..... ugh it was so frustrating. but hey we are trying..

Me and my comp feel like we are getting fat, it's gotten to the point where 2 different people have asked her if she's pregnant jajajajaj it was so awkward. Why are Latins so honest?? Anyways, I never thought I'd be this person, but for pday we went on a run, it felt so good. but then we ruined it by eating in a sketchy pizza place and now I feel sick.

This week we had a baptism for Kenny! His family is inactive but now his mom is starting to come back to church. It was super awesome, and also the next day was the primary program! so I got to see 2 primary programs in 3 weeks, lucky me!

I think that's about all for now. I truly love being a missionary, there is nothing more rewarding than relying on Jesus Christ and serving and sharing his gospel alllllllll day long :)

love,
Hermana Hill
