The world is ending but the work is moving forward :)
Heyyy fam
Ok so the world is basically ending. Butttttt the corona virus got nothing on the work of the Lord. We are still out here throwing fire and inviting people to salvation.
On Wednesday we finally go to our new area and it was so awesome. My companion is so cute and so enthusiastic to work. All the members were SOOOOO happy because it's the first time in like 7 years that there are sister missionaries in the ward. They all told us that we were answers to their prayers, it was so special!! So we were super motivated and pumped to work.
Well then on Thursday we got the news that church will be canceled, We were absolutely devastated. Only the investigators who already have 2 times in church are allowed to get baptized. Wellll since we are opening the area and we didn't have any investigators, and not having church makes everything pretty difficult.
Then on Friday morning the First Presidency required all the missionaries in Centroamerica to buy 14 days worth of food because in any given moment they can make us stay in our houses for 14 DAYS STRAIGHT. Doesn't that sound like the worst thing ever????? So on friday morning we all went running to the grocey store buying a whole crap ton of pancake mix, canned food, beans, rice, oatmeal etc. It was wild guys. Our group chat in the mission was on fire, everyone was sending pics of everyone buying all their food and it was sooooo funny jajaja.
Anyways, I was feeling pretty bummed out for a day and wondering why the heck god wanted me to extend my mission if I was going to spead it like this you know?? But then I went to bed, woke up the next day, took a shower, and I forgot about all the negative, and remembered that my purpose as a missionary hasn't changed. I feel so blessed that we can still go out and work. Even though chapels are closed, the mission work is still going here and it is the most important work on the face of the earth and I feel so blessed that I can be apart of it in this time!! We still need to work hard because in any given moment they can open the chapel and we need investigatores who are prepared to attend.
Okay I'm sorry this email was so dramatic, but I am so happy to be here and please pray that the First Presidency doesn't make us stay in our houses for 14 days because I will die jaja
love you guys!!
